Are you a content marketer and you struggle with creating engaging content?
You have a good following, but low engagement rates?
Check out these seven tips on how to create content that stands out:
#1 Address a need or answer a question
If you want to make sure your content is not just good, but epic, you first need to ensure that you cover a real need that your customers are having. If your piece of content is useful, you answer a question or simply fill an emotional need of your readers, then you are close to creating an epic post.
#2 Find your unique voice
Having a unique voice, apart from not sounding like a robot, makes your content original and honest - qualities that readers appreciate. Not only that, but you will have the advantage to not restraining your inner voice and creativity.
#3 Create compelling headlines
Before fascinating your readers with your content, you need to grab their attention with strong headlines. In some aspect, the headline is more important than the article itself. This is the first thing people read convincing them whether to read your article or not. Test different headlines, brainstorm at least 20 headline ideas for your articles and choose the most impactful one.
#4 Offer accurate and tangible data
Make sure you have extensive and reliable data that support your content. Having data that can be verified will reflect well on your image, making you an authoritative voice in your field, someone that takes the time to research their content. Make sure you link to credible sources.
#5 Share your content multiple times
If you're sharing your blog posts on social media just one time you will miss out a great deal of traffic! Think about all your readers from different time zones or those that missed your first share. Considering the speed of which the social posts are shared these days, there is no doubt that most of your audience will probably not see your first share. The best strategy is to repeat your share at least 3 or 4 times, especially on Twitter.
#6 Always A/B test your social posts
We already discussed the benefits of sharing the same post multiple times on social media networks like Twitter or Facebook. Since you already do this, why not changing things a bit and observe the results?
You can experiment with different headlines, with different hashtags or even posting hours. See what works best and do more of that! Make sure your social posts are actionable enough to persuade your followers to click-through.
#7 Know your readers
A great title and top notch article will not matter if you don't address to the right audience. If you want to create epic content, you first need to study your readers to be able to create optimal and helpful articles. Find out everything you can about them, their most important needs and wants and create a complete picture of your reader. This way you will surely hit the home run as a content marketer.
